Accelerated group reading for Greater Depth targets

Specifically designed for Key Stage 2 where gaps in reading comprehension have been identified. Using group reading models proven for success, the Lead Consultant will come to school and work with children and staff demonstrating how to build resilient learning and embedded comprehension skills across weak reading domains. This program is very popular and already being used extensively across both Key stages at several primary schools in the West Midlands. Proven to boost and extend pupils to attain expected and beyond.

Bright I's currently works with several primary schools across the Midlands providing professional development for individual teachers and Literacy leads as well as delivering whole school seminars and workshops. These are geared towards KS1 and KS2 and can be easily fit into teacher training days and staff meetings or insets.  These can be bespoke or from the standard training package on this site.

Coaching for Best Practice Reading Strategies and Planning

The Lead Consultant has worked with a range of subject leads and SLT members, ranging from Literacy Coordinators, Assistant Heads and Deputy Headteachers who have classroom practice as a part of their role in order to move their practice from good to excellent. This tailored service works one to one with key members of staff through lesson observations and action plans for development. The Lead Consultant provides ongoing CPD, planning guidance, unique strategies and supportive coaching to boost subject confidence based on researched methods proven to work. Members of staff are then able to pass on pedagogical knowledge to empower staff while boosting impact across key stages. Areas of development are identified by the practitioner and training and coaching are intertwined through team-teaching and one to one reflective practice discussions followed by action planning and support.
